Step 1
Like the other characters in the Dragonball series, Broly has a very detailed design. This character depiction also shows him in his transformed state, which means he’s incredibly muscular. These aspects can make drawing tricky, but we’ll go slowly through this guide! For now, we’ll start with your face and some of your hair. For his face, you can zoom in nicely and close to our example image to get a good look at the details you want to draw for his facial expression. Next, we’ll use some curved lines to create some thin shapes with sharp spikes at the ends of his hair. After drawing these parts as they appear in our reference image, we can move on to step 2!
Step 2
Many characters in this series have a distinctive spiky hairstyle, especially when they do the Super Saiyan transformation. That’s the case in this image, so let’s make his hair even longer in this second step of your Broly drawing. To do this, add more thin, pointy shapes you started in the previous step to make the hairstyle even bigger. So, let’s begin drawing his shoulders and chest. He’s insanely muscular in this image to highlight his powerful transformation, so you’ll be pulling some big, rounded shapes for the various muscles of your arms. He will hold his fists in this photo to give him a powerful pose.
Step 3
To mark his arms, continue drawing more of those rounded muscles you started for his shoulders and chest. Then we will also remove your abdominal muscles to finish this step.
Step 4
The next step in this Broly drawing could be one of the trickiest steps in the guide. We’ll be drawing his pants, and if you’re wondering why this will be complicated, look at our example image! His pants are made of many layers of fabric with many creases, even if it seems intimidating; as long as you follow the example image closely, you should be fine! First, use some curved lines to create the belt he’s wearing. Then you can start drawing the layers of your pantry to focus on one layer at a time as you pull, and you should find it much easier to get right. Then we can finish your legs and feet in the next step, so when you’re ready, we can move on!
Step 5:
Add the Finishing Touches to Your Broly Drawing Now that you’ve finished one of the more complicated steps in this guide on how to draw Broly, you can move on to this more straightforward step where you’ll draw Broly’s boots.
